Fragrance Free Castile Soap - An All Purpose Soap

Our Castile soap is a "Green Soap" meaning it's all natural, we only use high grade vegetable oils, consisting of 90% Australian virgin olive oil, castor oil and coconut oil and It is biodegradable too! With no animal fats it is a wonderful option for vegans. It is safe and gentle on surfaces and your skin. It makes a gentle and hydrating body and hand wash.

From personal experience, I used to have very dry skin, I always had trouble with my hands and the heels of my feet, cracking to the point they would bleed and I had dry scaly shins, the backs of my hands were always super dry and I was always self conscious of how bad my skin was due to using  washing detergents when cleaning dishes and store bought bath soaps. Once I started using my handmade Castile soap, I noticed a change quite quickly. My skin was hydrated, my hands and heels recovered and now I use Castile on everything, including my little 4 legged fur babies. I will never go back to chemical based soaps and detergents. I hope you find benefits to your skin with my Castile soap.

We use a 20 year old, tried and tested soap recipe that has had an amazing response from everyone! We love it!

*I test all my products on myself and other willing victims!

Our Castile soap is PALM OIL FREE! We love the orangutans!

  • It's biodegradable.
  • It’s vegan!
  • It’s not tested on animals
  • It’s scent-free (no synthetic fragrances, even natural essential oils).
  • It’s free of artificial foaming agents, harsh cleansers, deconstructed fatty acids from vegetable oils or fats (a.k.a. oleochemicals), petrochemicals and/or chemical antibacterial agents (such as triclosan).
  • It’s concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

What is Castile soap?

Castile soap is versatile and gentle on people and the environment.

It’s named for Castile, Spain, a region renowned for its olive oil. Traditional Castile soap is made of plant oils — Traditionally 100% olive oil or olive pumice. These days modern Castile has a blend of coconut, hemp, sunflower seed, jojoba and other moisturising oils. (Avoid brands with palm oil that is devastating forests overseas where orangutans live.) The oils are mixed with an alkali, traditionally this alkali was ash water  now we use sodium hydroxide for solid soap and potassium hydroxide for liquid soap called lye. Once the chemical process has been completed, this is where the oils and mixed with the lye. The lye will neutralise and give you soap! No lye will be left once the soap has been aged. Bar soap and soap gel/paste will need 6 weeks to age to be safe for use. 24-48 hours for liquid soap.

What makes Castile soap eco-friendly?

  • It’s biodegradable.
  • It’s vegan!
  • It’s not tested on animals
  • It’s fragrance free (no synthetic fragrances)
  • It’s free of artificial foaming agents, harsh cleansers, deconstructed fatty acids from vegetable oils or fats (a.k.a. oleochemicals), petrochemicals and/or chemical antibacterial agents (such as triclosan).
  • It’s concentrated, so a little goes a long way.
  • It can do the job of at least 11 personal care products and home cleaners.

Note: Read our ingredients list. Not all liquid soaps are created equal! “Liquid soap” doesn’t mean plant-based. We only use pure raw ingredients and essential oils. No added chemicals or artificial anything or Palm Oil!

Twelve ways to use our Fragrance Free liquid castile soap.

  1. Make foaming soap. Pour one part soap and three parts water into a pump or foaming dispenser. It’s also safe to use full strength and for babies!
  2. With proper washing, soap works well on most viruses, even better than disinfectants, wipes and gels containing alcohol, because soap dissolves the virus’s fat membrane. Soap is like a magnet to dirt!
  3. Wash fruits and veggies. Add a squirt to a sink full of water. Rinse.
  4. Use in an all-purpose spray bottle.
  5. Make an all-purpose scour.
  6. Make diaper wipe solution. Add a few drops to a spray bottle of water.
  7. Wash reusable menstrual cups.
  8. Clean makeup brushes.
  9. Wash floors. Add a squirt to a bucketful of warm water.
  10. Use in a carpet cleaning machine.
  11. Wash the car. Add a squirt to a bucket of water.
  12. Wash the dog.

Hi Seanvale! Glad you liked the post. I’d be happy to do a blurb about castor oil! I know its been a useful product for skin issues and in the good old days it used to be taken orally for stomach issues. I will do some more research on it :)

Nice post, Good to be here. Information related to liquid castile soap was great. Sometime before I was suffering from gut health issues I have a colon cleanse . It also affects my skin, so can I use caster oil for my skin treatment . I would love to read a brief article on caster oil. Keep sharing.
