Q: I bought some soap but it doesn't look like the photo, Why?
A: Every batch of soap will never look or feel the same as the last, this is the nature of handmade & hand cut soaps. All our soaps are unique!
Q: I have some liquid soap and it has changed colour from a dark green to a light green, has it gone off?
A: Not at all! If it is very cold your soap may become thicker and whiten slightly to a lighter green or golden yellow. It can also thin out a little if it is hot. Your liquid soap is perfectly fine to keep using. Keep your liquid soap in a cool and dark place.
Q: I ordered one bar but got two small ones, how come?
A: Sometimes with hand cutting we don't always get it right and we don't like wastage, some bars come out a little smaller, but we will send you two to make up for it. You will end up with more soap anyway. Hope you don't mind!
Q: I read lye is a chemical, you say you only use natural products?
A: Well, Lye (sodium hydroxide for hard soap and potassium hydroxide for liquid soap) is the main magical ingredient that combines all the oils and butters into what we know as soap. Without it there would just be an oily goop. The chemical reaction is called saponification but the lye neutralises when combined with the fat/oils and so becomes totally safe to use.
Q: I have been waiting for a long time for a particular soap you had but it is still out of stock, when will it be available to buy?
A: All our soaps need to set and cure. This process takes a minimum of 4-6 weeks before you can use it, so if we are out of stock it will be a month-ish before we can have it available for you to buy. We have pre-order available, this way you will get the soap you want!
Q: I wish to buy wholesale do you have this available?
A: Yes we do! Until we have the website ready for wholesale ordering, you can email us and request our wholesale pricing and we will send you an invoice for your order.
Q: I ordered a few things but it has not been shipped yet, Why?
A: If we have products such as bottles or liquid soap there will be a note on the product page notifying you that there may be a wait time for the products to come into the warehouse or if its liquid soap, time for us to make. We endevour to get all our orders to our customers in a timely manner but we make sure to notify all our customers if there will be a longer delay other than what is stated on the website.If product is available we will ship without delay.
Q: I ordered something but it has not arrived yet, what is taking so long?
A: We do our best to get orders out as quickly as we can. Once the courier collects from us it is out of our control as to how long it takes to get to you. Should you encounter a delay please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to chase up your parcel. With all the hiccups happening over the last 2 years with lockdowns, terrible weather, floods and fires there will no doubt be some delays. Please be patient, it will get to you. Shipping updates are now posted on the header of the page, at check out and a pop-up to alert customers of anything that's happening.
