How To Use: Just pour into your clean spray bottle and spray onto bathroom tiles where mould is likely to grow. Use as a final rinse after cleaning the shower tiles OR after having a shower.
Shower curtains - Whether it’s a plastic or nylon curtain, wash the curtain in the washing machine on the cool cycle once a fortnight. To prevent further mildew build up, add a drop of clove oil to the the rinse water of the washing machine.
CLEANING TIP - Mouldy grout and tiles? Clean tiles once a week with bicarb and vinegar. Have one sponge with bicarb on it and the other with vinegar on it and put the vinegar-soaked sponge over the top of the bicarb-coated sponge, then wipe. The grout between the tiles is very porous and retains mildew. To clean it, use bicarb and vinegar and scrub with an old toothbrush. To inhibit mould, spray with our mould spray mixture. You should clean the grout every couple of months to avoid build-up. To treat stubborn mould build up use clove oil neat on the area, put a few drops onto a cotton ball and dab onto the area, let dry over night then clean the area down and apply the mould spray. Make sure to wear gloves as straight oil can cause a reaction to your skin. Always ventilate the room.
Oil of cloves is cold pressed oil from the dried flower bud of the clove tree. It’s been used for hundreds of years for different things. Its a known mould inhibitor, insecticide, toothache soother and has even been used in cooking.
